Export Distributed Firewall configurations
Step 1. Open the vSphere Web Client and navigate to Networking & Security -> Firewall
Step 2. Select the Export Configuration button
Step 3. Then click Download and Save the file.
Import Distributed Firewall configurations
Step 4. Click the Saved Configurations tab then click on the Import Configuration button
Step 5. Browse for your configuration then click OK
Load Distributed Firewall configurations
Step 6. Navigate back to the Configuration tab then click the Load Saved Configuration button.
Step 7. Select your Configuration then click OK. Select Yes and Publish Changes

Thank you for posting this, I was wondering what is the difference between Import configuration, and load saved configuration ?!
you make it clear, so in order to apply a configuration stored in a file, you need first to imported as before step 4, so you can see it under saved configuration, so you can then proceed with step 5 and then step 6 and step 7.
Really I am not sure why VMware uses this approach in order to restore a configuration, as it should be a one setup process import/ upload done 🙂

I have 2 separate instance of NSX running in 2 Data center.
In DC 1 I have configured some few NSX firewall rules. (close to around 250 rules)
I want to export these configurations & import it to the other DC NSX.
I did the export & import. But while importing it is not allowing.
The reason for this is because in the DC 2 NSX there is no service group or IP Sets or service groups configured.
Is there any way i can export these from DC 1 to the DC 2 NSX.
