Test Logical Switch connectivity in NSX
It’s important to test logical switch connectivity as it will confirm whether or not two hosts in a VXLAN transport network can communicate. To test logical switch connectivity, follow the instructions below.
Note: The VXLAN standard packet size is 1550 bytes, so if the connectivity fails, ensure that you have MTU set correctly.
Step 1. Log into the vSphere Web Client and navigate to Networking & Security -> Logical Switches then double click on the logical switch you would like to test.
Step 2. Select the Monitor tab then specify a Source host and a Destination Host then click Start Test
Step 3. If the test is successful, you will see similar results shown below.
